Will You Be Blotted Out? The Truth About the Book of Life
Your name is written in the Book of Life right now. This might shock you, but scripture proves that every human being starts with their name recorded in Yahuah's book. The real question is not whether your name will be added—it's whether your name will remain or be blotted out.
Modern Christianity teaches the comfortable lie of "once saved, always saved." They claim that once you "accept Jesus," nothing can remove your salvation. This doctrine has sent millions to destruction, giving them false security while they live in willful sin.
Today, we expose this deception with clear scripture. Prepare to have your theology shattered.
The Book of Life: Written From the Foundation
Let's establish the foundation. The Book of Life is not a new concept invented in Revelation. Mosheh (Moses) knew about it thousands of years ago:
"Yet now, if you will forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray you, out of your book which you have written. And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, Whosoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book." (Shemoth/Exodus 32:32-33)
Notice carefully: Mosheh asks to be blotted out of a book that already exists. He doesn't ask to not be written in—he asks to be removed. This proves names are already there.
King David understood this same truth:
"Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous." (Tehilliym/Psalms 69:28)
Again, the language is about removal, not addition. The wicked are blotted out from a book where they were previously written.
Revelation Confirms: Names Can Be Removed
The Book of Revelation, given to Yahuchanan (John), confirms this pattern repeatedly. Look at what Yahusha himself says to the assembly at Sardis:
"He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." (Chizayon/Revelation 3:5)
Why would Yahusha promise NOT to blot out names if blotting out was impossible? This promise only makes sense if removal is a real threat.
Later in Revelation, we see the final judgment:
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Chizayon/Revelation 20:15)
These are people whose names were removed. They started in the book but were blotted out because of their choices.
When Are Names Written?
Scripture reveals that names are written "from the foundation of the world":
"And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Chizayon/Revelation 13:8)
This verse is often misunderstood. It's not saying only certain names were written from the foundation. Rather, it identifies those who worship the beast as people whose names are NO LONGER in the book—they've been removed.
Consider this: Yahuah is not willing that any should perish (Kepha Sheniy/2 Peter 3:9). Would a loving Creator predestine billions to hell by never writing their names? No! He writes all names, giving everyone a chance, but our actions determine whether we remain.
The Conditions for Remaining
Scripture is crystal clear about what keeps names in the book and what causes removal. First, let's see what Yahusha taught:
"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved." (Mattithyahu/Matthew 10:22)
Endurance to the end—not a one-time prayer—determines salvation. Paul confirms this truth:
"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living Elohiym." (Ivriym/Hebrews 3:12)
You can depart from Yahuah after believing. You can fall away. You can be blotted out.
What Causes Blotting Out?
Scripture identifies specific actions that result in removal from the Book of Life:
1. Willful, Continuous Sin
"For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." (Ivriym/Hebrews 10:26-27)
Once you know the truth and continue in deliberate sin, you forfeit your salvation. No sacrifice remains.
2. Taking From or Adding to Scripture
"And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohiym shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Chizayon/Revelation 22:19)
Changing Yahuah's Word—including replacing His name with titles—can cost you eternity.
3. Denying Yahusha
"But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." (Mattithyahu/Matthew 10:33)
Peter denied Yahusha and had to be restored. But those who permanently deny Him are denied before the Father.
4. Loving the World
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (Yahuchanan Ri'shon/1 John 2:15)
You cannot serve two masters. Choosing the world means rejecting Yahuah.
The "Once Saved, Always Saved" Deception
Where did this false doctrine originate? Not from scripture, but from men who wanted to create a comfortable religion. They twist Paul's words about grace while ignoring his warnings:
"Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." (Qorintiym Ri'shon/1 Corinthians 10:12)
Paul himself feared being disqualified:
"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." (Qorintiym Ri'shon/1 Corinthians 9:27)
If Paul could become a castaway, what makes modern Christians think they're eternally secure while living in sin?
Examples of Those Blotted Out
Scripture provides sobering examples of those who started with Yahuah but fell away:
King Saul
Anointed by Yahuah, filled with the Spirit, chosen as king—yet he died rejected, consulting witches, abandoned by Yahuah.
Judas Iscariot
Chosen as one of the twelve, given power to heal and cast out demons, walked with Yahusha for three years—yet Yahusha said it would have been better if he had never been born.
The Exodus Generation
Witnessed the plagues, walked through the Red Sea, ate manna from heaven—yet their carcasses fell in the wilderness because of unbelief.
"So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief." (Ivriym/Hebrews 3:19)
The Truth About Salvation
Salvation is not a business transaction where you trade a prayer for eternal security. It's a covenant relationship requiring faithfulness until death. Yahusha made this clear:
"Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life." (Chizayon/Revelation 2:10)
Notice: faithful UNTO death, not faithful until you say a prayer.
The apostles understood this. They never taught instant, permanent salvation. Instead, they warned:
"Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall." (Kepha Sheniy/2 Peter 1:10)
Why make your election "sure" if it's already guaranteed?
The Narrow Path
Yahusha warned that few would make it:
"Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it." (Mattithyahu/Matthew 7:13-14)
If everyone who said a prayer was eternally saved, wouldn't many find life? But Yahusha says FEW find it. Why? Because few endure to the end.
What This Means for You
If you're reading this, your name is likely still in the Book of Life. But that can change. Every day you choose whether to remain or be blotted out through your actions, your obedience, your faithfulness.
The churches have lied to you. They've sold you false security to keep you comfortable and tithing. They don't want you to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippiym/Philippians 2:12) because fearful people ask hard questions.
But Yahuah's Word stands forever. You CAN be blotted out. You CAN lose your salvation. You CAN fall away.
The Call to Action
What must you do? Scripture is clear:
- Repent of all known sin. Stop excusing your disobedience with "nobody's perfect" or "we're under grace."
- Obey the commandments. "For this is the love of Elohiym, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous" (Yahuchanan Ri'shon/1 John 5:3).
- Endure to the end. Salvation is not a sprint but a marathon. You must finish the race.
- Guard your name. Daily examine yourself. Are you walking in obedience? Are you enduring? Are you overcoming?
- Warn others. Millions believe the "once saved, always saved" lie. Their blood may be required at your hand if you stay silent.
The Book of Life is real. Names are written from the foundation of the world. But names can be—and are—blotted out.
Where do you stand today? Are you living like someone whose name is secure, or are you presuming upon Yahuah's mercy while walking in rebellion?
Time is short. The books will soon be opened. Make sure your name remains.
Choose this day: obedience and life, or rebellion and removal. There is no middle ground.
Share this truth while there's time. Souls hang in the balance.
